Theater History

The Elite Theatre, as it was originally called, opened in 1938. In the early 1950s KLAC-TV used the theater for a few years to broadcast live TV shows featuring Liberace and Life with Elizabeth starring Betty White. In 1956 the theater retuned to showing films. Laemmle came into the picture in October 1974. In 1995 the single-screen was extensively renovated and tri-plexed, thus becoming the Music Hall 3. The houses currently hold 142, 102 and 259.
