A colorful and poetic picture of contemporary Puerto Rican skateboarding. 5:30-7:00 pm This Ain’t California by Marten Piersel (Best Documentary Category; Germany, 90 mins) − What if the desire for freedom in East Germany sparked within a kid’s love for skateboarding and his lust for life? This mockumentary tells more about modern history than most books will ever do. 7:30 pm & 9:55 pm: Pre-Release Screenings of Waiting for Lightning The International Skateboard Film Festival (ISFF) and Samuel Goldwyn Films will present two pre-release screenings of Waiting for Lightning, the widely acclaimed documentary on the life of athlete extraordinaire Danny Way. For this very special occasion, the 7:30 pm screening will be followed by Q&A with Director Jacob Rosenberg, Danny Way and select cast members.
