A young test pilot finds himself in a mysterious desert region out of contact with his airbase and with little hope of survival. But childhood memories of his grandfather may provide the key to his ultimate destiny. TALE OF THE KITE was filmed over a period of 11 years.A blend of BOYHOOD and THE RIGHT STUFF, principal photography began in 2002 when lead actor Kevin DeSimone was only 10 years old. Production wrapped in 2013 when Kevin turned 21. The film follows his adventures from wide eyed kite flyer to full fledged jet pilot. Veteran actor of stage and screen John Schuck guides Kevin along this incredible 11 year motion picture journey.
