The satirist Christopher Guest (Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind) turns his gimlet eye to the independent film scene, in a mockumentary about three actors who learn they’re up for Academy Awards. The cast includes several of Mr. Guest’s regulars: Jennifer Coolidge, Eugene Levy, Michael McKean, Catherine O’Hara (a 2007 Independent Spirit Award nominee for Best Female Lead), Harry Shearer, Fred Willard and himself.
