House of Paper
House of Paper
A famous journalist, unemployed for several years after being arrested, is living with his only daughter in Iran. She is also a journalist. When an old love returns from abroad he starts to write again, this time about the economy and the mafia, while his daughter covers politics. Both, however, are increasingly at risk...
Director’s Statement:
I tried to capture a part of journalist's hard life in Iran. Journalists are trying to cover all the news including the forbidden ones.
Freedom of speech is a human write but unfortunately not in every part of the world. The film was banned from Iran's festivals but The magic of words and power of cinema always wins! This movie will be noticed around the world. This is exactly what makes the film makers stronger and hopeful to fight this battle on a harder note.
