The Teacher

From Oscar-nominated director Jan Hřebejk (DIVIDED WE FALL, KAWASAKI’S ROSE) and loosely inspired by true events, comes this new pitch-black comedy. In a middle school classroom in 1980s Bratislava, maniacal school teacher Comrade Drazdechova (played hilariously to the hilt by Zuzana Mauréry, Best Actress Winner at Karlovy Vary) uses her Communist party connections to manipulate her students' parents for her own gain. Comrade Drazdechova's mounting abuses results in a PTA meeting from hell in which parents and the school administrators face off against each other – and themselves.
