From award-winning director Cesc Gay, TRUMAN has garnered numerous accolades since its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film swept Spain’s 30th annual Spanish Academy Goya Awards in the categories of Film, Direction, Original Screenplay, Lead Actor (Ricardo Darín) and Supporting Actor (Javier Cámara).

TRUMAN explores the intimacy and tenderness of a lifelong friendship headed towards its imminent end. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, Julián (Ricardo Darín, 2009’s Academy Award®-winning “The Secret in Their Eyes”) has decided to forgo treatment, and spend his final days tying up loose ends. When childhood friend Tomás (Javier Cámara, “Talk to Her”) pays his ailing friend an unexpected visit, he quickly realizes he won’t be able to change his mind. In what will be their final reunion, the two friends set out to finalize Julián’s funeral arrangements, settle his accounts and, most importantly, find a home for his beloved dog, Truman.
