yonkers joe

YONKERS JOE is an exciting, entertaining, high-stakes con film and moving family drama starring Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, Academy Award winner Christine Lahti, Tom Guiry (“The Black Donnellys”), Golden Globe nominee Linus Roache and Academy Award nominee Michael Lerner.

Family life gets in the way of a con man's search for the perfect scam in YONKERS JOE, an ode to old time gamblers who are now outdated in an age of powerful upscale casinos. Palminteri gives a great performance as a dad who has forgotten fatherhood. He is Yonkers Joe, a dice hustler and one of the slickest and most seasoned con-men working the East Coast. Lahti as his girlfriend Janice and Tom Guiry as his son Joe Jr. turn in sizzling supporting roles set in the gritty gambling dens of Atlantic City and Las Vegas. The film tells the story of Joe, whose determination to make one last grab for a big score in Vegas is complicated by the reappearance of his estranged, mentally challenged son into his life. Written and directed by Robert Celestino, the picture is produced by Trent Othick and executive produced by John Gaughan, Matt Othick, Phil Ivey (who is one of the most honored professional poker players ever) and Chazz Palminteri.

YONKERS JOE had its World Premiere earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival.
