The Waiting City

Part of 2010 USA-Australia Film Showcase: A young Australian couple travels to India to collect their adopted baby but the country’s intoxicating power pulls them in separate and unexpected directions. Radha Mitchell and Joel Edgerton star. The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.

“An ambitious debut by Claire McCarthy, in which she tries to find a cohesion between the earthly realities of the subject matter, the complexities of Indian life and the demanding emotional journey of a young married couple.” (Andrew L. Urban, Urbancinephile.com)
