Vanity Fair
Reese Witherspoon stars in a new film version of the William Makepeace Thackeray's classic directed by Mira Nair (MONSOON WEDDING). Born into the lower class, Becky Sharp (the perfectly-cast Witherspoon), one of literature's greatest female anti-heroines, can rely only on her wit, guile and sexuality as she makes her way up through London society circa 1820. Also starring Jim Broadbent, Bob Hoskins and Gabriel Byrne.
"The spirit of that most modern of 19th century heroines, Becky Sharp, remains intact, and Nair's Indian touches make for an intriguing, fresh approach." -- Kirk Honeycutt, HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
Rated PG-13, for some sensuality/partial nudity and a brief violent image
