Past Run
In the Valley of Elah
Elah follows a veteran (Tommy Lee Jones), his wife (Susan Sarandon) and the search for their son, a soldier who recently returned from Iraq but has mysteriously gone missing, and the police detective (Charlize Theron) who helps in the investigation. Paul Haggis directs from his screenplay, his follow-up to Crash. “The first Hollywood Iraq movie to remind me of a Vietnam film like Coming Home, and it does more than disturb. It scalds, moves, and heals.” (Ent. Weekly)
