Trigger Man
This acclaimed indie horror movie is based on the actual events of May 20th, 2006, when three old friends traveled from New York City to Wilmington, Delaware for a day-long hunting excursion. It was planned as a final reunion before one was to be married. The events that transpired that day were more horrific than any of them could have imagined, as the hunters became the hunted.
“One of our primary goals with Scareflix is to never repeat our selves stylistically or thematically. This one from Ti West is very different from the other three Scareflix including The Roost, which had an affectionate retro feel. With Trigger Man we’re going for a more immediate, more visceral, more verite feeling. This one should be appallingly real.” (Larry Fessenden, Executive Producer)
A "smartly compact and radical survival thriller." (Robert Koehler, Variety)
"One of the best examples of five-dollars-and-a-dream genre filmmaking I've seen, Trigger Man manages to keep the viewer on the edge of his seat with an intentional lack of stylization, relying purely on timing and events to create mood." (Michael Lerman, indiewire)
"Old Joy reconceived as a horror movie is the simplest way to describe Trigger Man, the stunning sophomore feature by 26-year-old writer-director Ti West . . . an uncommonly naturalistic terror tale." (Scott Foundas, L.A. Weekly)
