Past Run
Tokyo!
Three featurettes by three of cinema's most extraordinary talents -- Michel Gondry, Leos Carax, Bong Joon-Ho -- prowl Tokyo, one of the world's mega-cities. Gondry transmutes a doomed romance into useful furniture; Carax sends a red-bearded madman into the hordes; and, during an earthquake, Bong lures an agoraphobic out into the world.
“Three tantalizing films for the price of one movie ticket.” (Reyhan Harmanci, San Francisco Chronicle)
““By turns playful and melancholy, provocative and sentimental, all three of the shorts that make up “Tokyo!” seem like direct responses to the city itself as well as being jumping-off points for each director's personal quirks.””
— Mark Olsen, L.A. Times
