Sympathy, Said the Shark
A young couple (Melinda Cohen and Lea Coco) reluctantly answers their door during a storm and in rushes an estranged, soaked, and bloodied friend (Dominic Bogart) who insists that someone is trying to kill him. This triggers a non-stop night, during which all three of them are forced to confront their own darkest secrets, as well as a deadly threat that will soon come knocking. We are all prisoners of our own subjective views and experiences. The majority of this emotionally charged psychological thriller is told from the explicit points of view of its three main characters. Each time the perspective switches there is a brief overlap of time where something is seen or heard that the previous character missed, constantly changing the perception of who’s good, who’s bad, and what’s really going on.
