A Star is Born

A Tribute to The Man That Got Away

An aging actor, Norman Maine (James Mason) is saved from making a drunken fool of himself on stage by a young singer, Esther Blodgett (Judy Garland). Upon hearing her sing he decides to help her career. They fall in love and marry, but soon his celebrity is eclipsed by hers and his emotional destruction cannot be stopped by her devoted love. A definitive performance by Judy Garland highlights this remarkable interpretation of the original 1937 film. The restored version will be featured.
