THE SMASHING MACHINE is a biopic based on the life of mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Mark Kerr, known as "The Smashing Machine." The film explores Kerr's rise to fame in the brutal no-holds-barred era of early UFC and Pride FC, his struggles with addiction, and his journey to overcome personal demons while fighting. Dwayne Johnson portrays Mark Kerr, and Emily Blunt also stars in the film, which is directed by Benny (UNCUT GEMS) Safdie.
