Six Characters in Search of an Author

Luigi Pirandello's dramatic classic, one of the major works of 20th century stage drama, is adapted to television here. SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR is the ground-breaking story of a group of actors rehearsing another one of the playwright's works for broadcast on television. As they practice their scenes, a control booth of monitors tapes them and mysteriously alters their images with those of complete strangers.
