Shadow Company

With over $100 billion in annual revenues and 70,000 employees in Iraq alone, the private military industry is booming, yet few civilians know anything about it. SHADOW COMPANY, a groundbreaking feature-length documentary, takes you deep inside this secret world that is changing the face of modern warfare. What are we really risking by allowing profit-motivated corporations into the business of war?

“There isn’t as much exposé as you might expect in SHADOW COMPANY, but there’s considerably more thoughtfulness.” (Neil Genzlinger, New York Times)

“A fascinating documentary, shining some needed light on the individuals who are called upon more and more to take fill in the gaps left by a diminished standing military.” (Pete Vonder Haar, Film Threat)

“SHADOW COMPANY attempts to provide a balanced view of a potentially polarizing issue, interviewing historians, security firm heads, war journalists, and former contractors themselves (the Army declined). (Ed Halter, Village Voice)

“For a subject that plays such a large part in America's foreign policy and is so little understood, SHADOW COMPANY is an excellent and engaging primer.” (John DeFore, Hollywood Reporter)
