Red Earth

Short film UNKNOWN DEPTHS will follow this screening.

Red Earth (64 minutes) imagines a world in the late Anthropocene, where large parts of Earth have become inhospitable to life. The story follows three generations of Martians, from the first colonists to the first expedition to return to an Earth decimated by interplanetary war. Winner of the Jury Award for Cinematography at the Oscar-qualifying 47th annual Atlanta Film Festival. Followed by Q&A with Producer/Lead Talent.

The Unknown Depths (9 minutes, drama, USA)
Haunted by nightmares, guilt and depression, a woman flees the bustling metropolis she calls home--leaving in her wake a devoted lover--to face the very memories that plague her. An elegy to existential crises and letting go, this Poetry-film by local filmmaker Matt "TK" Devine eschews dialogue in favor of narration, diegetic soundscape, and a brooding original score. A Gold Remi Award Winner at the 56th annual WorldFest - Houston International Film Festival.
