Past Run
The Private Lives of Pippa Lee
Rebecca Miller wrote and directed this adaptation of her own novel about a middle-aged woman (Robin Wright Penn) who finds her happy life as the wife of a much-older publisher (Alan Arkin) threatened when he decides to move to a Connecticut retirement community. Mike Binder, Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder star.
“Miller's film is a triumph. Uniformly well acted, it boasts a psychologically knowing script, clearly written by a smart, assertive human being rather than a software program. As for the luminous Wright Penn, awards season beckons.” (David Gritten, Daily Telegraph)
