Poisoned by Polonium

When former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko died a slow, painful death in London in November 2006 it was revealed he had been poisoned by Polonium-210: a rare & toxic radioactive material. In this fascinating documentary, director Andrei Nekrosov makes a withering indictment of Russia under Putin and the role of the FSB (the successor of the KGB) in Litvinenko's murder.

“A muckraking documentary of vast shuddery intrigue, makes a disquieting case that Russia hasn't just slipped back to its old oligarchic ways -- but that, in fact, it's a more repressive, corroded place than it was in the age of the Soviet Union.” (Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly)
