A Place Called Chance
A Place Called Chance is the story of Cassidy (Erin Maxick), a sharp, precise businesswoman whose looking for love by online dating. She suits up for a predictable evening with her married friends, where she is sure to be pressured about her single status and her failure to just “pick” someone. Her predictable evening is interrupted by a flurry of text messages from Rayhan (Junes Zahdi), a handsome, younger man who is pursuing her through her online dating app. Though she is intrigued, she quickly cuts it off – he’s too young.
At the party Cassidy finds herself set up with an age appropriate partner Brian, and though she tries to remain open to him, it becomes all but impossible with the steady stream of seductive text messages from Rayhan. The choice becomes obvious – stability or passion. Cassidy leaves her would be suitor for something more intriguing.
The meeting with Rayhan is intoxicating and awakens in Cassidy a part of herself that she thought was long over. Caught up in the moment, Cassidy spends the night with Rayhan. What transpires is a surprise to both of them, a connection they hadn’t considered.
The next morning Cassidy’s not sure she has found love, but she is sure she has found something she won’t let go of.
