A unique musical set on the streets of Dublin, ONCE follows two buskers (Glen Hansard of the Frames and Markéta Irglová), one an Irishman, the other a Czech immigrant, during an eventful week as they write, rehearse and record songs that reveal their love story. “Wonderful and winning.” (Hollywood Reporter) “Pic's charm seems so offhand one might not notice the skill with which helmer John Carney pulls it off, or how it plays like a full-blown musical without anyone bursting into song.” (Variety)
