The Night Listener

In this psychological thriller adapted from a novel by Armistead Maupin, Robin Williams stars as a celebrated writer and popular late-night radio host jostled from his comfortable life when a manuscript from a troubled young listener (Rory Culkin) finds its way onto his desk and into his psyche. Williams contributes a wonderfully subdued performance, but meets his match in Toni Collette, who portrays the young boy's adopted guardian. Sandra Oh co-stars.
