There are 600 million disabled people in the world, and they give expression to the dignity and value of humanity, making the world more joyful, friendlier and happier. The China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe is referred to as the “Messenger of Beauty and Humanity”, the “Image Ambassador for People with Disabilities” and designated as the “UNESCO Artist for Peace.” The China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe has witnessed an uncommon development in 20 years. Bearing the dreams of people with disabilities, it created a masterpiece entitled “My Dream”. It pleases the mind, and purifies the soul with truth, honesty and virtue, when people face life’s challenges with indomitable spirit, and communicate friendliness with deep affection. The China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe has traveled to more than 50 countries on five continents, exhibiting graceful fortitude. The Beijing Film Academy, the cradle of Chinese film, helped make My Dream come true. Chinese filmmakers from each generation teamed up together to accomplish this. It involved all of the resources Academy’s departments of fine arts, directors, cinematographers, and sound recording engineers, as well as the Digital Media Institute. With wisdom and warmth, they created the documentary My Dream.
