Musica en Espera
This Argentinean romantic comedy follows Ezequiel, who must compose a movie soundtrack but has writer’s block. While phoning his bank to argue about his overdue mortgage payments, he reaches the assistant manager, Paula, who puts him on hold. As it happens, the melody on the phone is the one he was looking for, ideal for the soundtrack, but he gets lost in the phone network and cannot recover the tune. Meanwhile, Paula is waiting for her mother to arrive from Spain to help with the upcoming birth of her child and meet the father, who recently abandoned her. Ezequiel goes to Paula’s office to find her and that perfect music, unaware he might be the perfect decoy father for her mother to meet until she returns to Spain.
Screening as part of Outsider Pictures’ Latin American Showcase.
