Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont

A comedy drama based on the best-selling novel in which an elegant elderly lady (Joan Plowright), recently widowed, moves from Scotland to London to be near to her 26-year-old grandson. When he fails to return any phone calls, fate brings her together with a young writer with whom she develops a profound connection. "An altogether satisfying drama - the sort of movie some people complain they don't make anymore." (Boston Globe)
