Monster House

Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg got together to produce this CGI extravaganza about a creepy old house that is, in fact, a living, breathing monster. The film uses the "performance capture" technology developed for Mr. Zemeckis's Polar Express. Gil Kenan directs; the cast includes Steve Buscemi, Jon Heder, Jason Lee, Catherine O'Hara and Nick Cannon. "One of the spooky archetypes of childhood imagination - the dark, mysterious house across the street - is literally brought to life in this marvelously creepy animated feature." (New York Times)
