Lovely, Still
With the approach of Christmas causing him to feel lonely in life and love, Robert Malone ((Academy Award Winner Martin Landau) braves the wintery snow to arrive home from his job at the grocery store only to find a stranger (Academy Award Winner Ellen Burstyn) standing in his home.
What begins as an odd and awkward encounter quickly blossoms into what appears to be a romantic late life love affair that takes the audience on a heartfelt and wonderful journey which takes an unexpected turn.
Skillfully and sensitively directed by Nik Fackler, the film also stars Elizabeth Banks and Adam Scott, and features original music by Conor Oberst and a score by Nate Walcott and Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes.

Director’s Statement:
My name is Nik Fackler. I wrote and directed the film "Lovely, Still" and I am writing this note to explain why, as a kid, I spent 8 years of my life fighting to bring my vision to you now. But first I must explain why I believe in the powerful strength of storytelling. It is a tool we have also entitled "myth", which has driven all cultures forward. It is through myth we create our future. So, as a storyteller, I wish to create a myth of beauty to encourage all to understand Love on new levels. That age, mortality or illness are nothing but expectations to be broken. Love exists always as a way to remind us of something beyond our perception. Beyond who we believe we are. An understanding that there is more to the experience of life than how it ends.
It brings tears to my eyes to see the beauty and complexity everywhere I look and through my film I wish to share this with the world. Sometimes it's all that matters - one moment, if you slow down enough to see it.
Thank you all for allowing me to share my creation with you. I send much love. Enjoy the film,
Nik Fackler
