Love Comes Lately

The story of Max Kohn (Otton Tausig), in his 80s but still with an eye for the ladies. Adapted from three stories by Isaac Bashevis Singer; written and directed by the German Jan Schütte. With Barbara Hershey Rhea Perlman and Tovah Feldshuh.

“Schütte deftly juggles antic comedy, pathos, and melancholy.” (Ella Taylor, Village Voice)

“Max Kohn, the aging Lothario of Love Comes Lately, is very much like the movie itself: doddering and milquetoasty, but ultimately disarming.” (Nathan Lee, New York Times)

“There have been several other films over the years based on Singer’s works, but none with such relevance as Love Comes Lately.” (Andrew Sariss, New York Observer)
