LA HIJA NATURAL

LA HIJA NATURAL (LOVE CHILD) tells the loving story about 18 year old Maria who is just about to come into her own as a young adult when her mother is killed in a bus accident. Being an only child and without other relatives, Maria sets out to find her biological father in a neighboring village. Once she finds him, the two begin to try to understand and love each other, while along the way learning valuable lessons about love, life and family.
The Dominican Republic has not had a film submitted in over 14 years. The filmmakers are proud that LA HIJA NATURAL (LOVE CHILD) is this year’s selection and hopefully, will put the country back on the map of global filmmaking.
