The Keeper: The Legend of Omar Khayyam

The first American film produced almost entirely in Samarkand and Bukhara, Uzbekistan, once the heart of Ancient Persia. This family friendly historical epic tells the story of a boy living in America who uncovers a secret connection to the Great Omar Khayyam, 11th Century Persian Mathematician, Astronomer, and Poet of the famous “Rubaiyat.” During his voyage of discovery, “The Keeper” encounters a woman (beautifully played by Vanessa Redgrave) who helps him understand the importance of keeping Khayyam’s poetry alive for future generations.
