Past Run
Johnny Guitar
The inimitable Joan Crawford plays a saloon proprietress waiting for her fortunes to
climb when the railroad comes through her dusty little town. Nicholas Ray's psychosexual
western was intended as a thinly disguised allegory for the 1950s communist
blacklisting and the House Un-American Activities Committee fiasco, but applies just
as easily to our own scary modern times. (1954 - 110 minutes - Paramount - Dir. Nicholas Ray)
