Iska’s Journey

A stunning, harrowing movie about a twelve-year-old girl who shows courage in the face of harsh poverty. It’s not an easy film to watch; it brutally exhibits the cruel conditions under which millions of women and children are preyed upon by the prostitution trade. “Keenly observed . . . [the lead actress’s performance is] at once innately dignified and terrifyingly vulnerable.” (Eddie Cockrell, Variety)
