The Independents
The Independents is a comedy/drama about three struggling singer-songwriters who collide at the same crossroads and discover harmony. Thus is born “RGB” (at least until they come up with a better band name) and what follows is their roller-coaster-ride journey across America for one last shot at musical glory. Starring (and inspired by) real-life folk-rock group, The Sweet Remains, the movie debuted at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival where The Hollywood Reporter hailed it “An extremely engaging film (that) subverts all the cliches of the star-is-born story and proves there are plenty of offbeat ways to satisfy audiences without hewing to formula.”
