Incantato

INCANTATO follows Nello Balocchi, a shy and clumsy 35-year-old man devoted to the academic world. His father, a pragmatic businessman and womanizer who happens to be the Pope's tailor, sends him to teach high school in Bologna with hopes that living in such an emancipated city will allow him to find a wife and finally give the family its eagerly awaited heir.

On reaching Bologna, Nello takes up residence in a pensione. He shares a room with a Neapolitan barber, thanks to whom he gradually gets to know the fairer sex. While he discovers that he has a great talent for teaching, his search for a soul mate is unsuccessful until the day he finds himself at a tea dance in a home for blind women. There Nello meets a femme fatale, Angela Gardini. In spite of her accident-induced blindness, she is the most beautiful and open-minded young woman in all Bologna. She turns his life upside down.
