Skull Rock is set in the Old West with a timeless rivalry of brothers with a bone-to-pick on the hunt for buried treasure in the new frontier. Doc and Boone each harbor a deadly secret that their treasure hunt will uncover. Although they come from a well-to-do ranching family, Boone has been freeloading off Doc his whole life, and now that Doc and his wife are about to have a child, Doc wants nothing more than for his brother to leave the ranch and find a new life for himself. Doc's hope is that this treasure will convince his brother to finally leave. But Boone has been suffering from "convulsions" (Epilepsy) his whole life and refuses to go out into the world alone. The brother's come to a head at Skull Rock where they must come to terms with their past or neither will come out of the desert alive.
