Guilt-ridden over the death of his wife, Noah (Thomas Ian Nicholas) moves out of the city to an isolated cabin. Upon arriving, he begins to experience supernatural occurrences, including messages from his wife (Clare Kramer). He soon discovers, along with his father (Michael Madsen), that the source is an old tree. To make matters worse, his co-worker (Lacey Chabert) gets drawn into the dangerous web. Despite his life being in danger, Noah becomes obsessed with contacting her and uncovering the tree's secrets, even if it kills him.
