Humpday

Afraid they've become too conventional, two straight male friends (Mark Duplass and Joshua Leonard) decide to make love on camera and enter the results in a Seattle film festival of amateur pornography. Lynn Shelton (My Effortless Brilliance) directed this indie comedy.

“More full of story, laughs and genuine human emotion than a dozen studio movies.” (David Carr, New York Times)

“Phenomenally funny.” (Dennis Dermody, Paper Magazine)

“To guys everywhere: “Humpday” has your number. With X-ray vision, this serious indie comedy...sees through its male characters’ macho pretensions to contemplate the underlying forces hard-wired into men’s psyches in a homophobic culture. Think of it as a Judd Apatow or Kevin Smith buddy film turned inside out.” (Stephen Holden, New York Times)
