HEADING SOUTH

Charlotte Rampling and Karen Young play sex tourists, middle-aged women who purchase the sexual favors of young men in a beach resort in late 1970's Haiti, but find the political upheaval outside the gates invading their pampered lives when their favorite lover (Menothy Cesar) crosses the government's feared secret police. Laurent Cantet, the French filmmaker behind the excellent Human Resources and Time Out, directs. “Devastating.” (New York Times) “Fascinating.” (Wall Street Journal)
