(DAWN OF THE DEAD)
Dawn of the Dead in 3-D: The Halloween Night 40th Anniversary Screenings

10/30 & 10/31: New Amsterdam Entertainment presents the 40th Anniversary screening of George A Romero’s iconic film. The critique on American consumerism was the first to bring the zombie to a worldwide audience.

Fleeing the zombie apocalypse, four survivors seek refuge in a suburban shopping mall where the marauding undead prove nearly as terrifying as the horrors of late capitalism. Romero’s unrated original theatrical release cut was first exhibited in April 1979 and has been adapted to 3D under the close supervision of the original producer, Richard P. Rubinstein, leaving the editorial integrity of the film untouched. This is a rare opportunity to see the film on the big screen in one of the most historic theaters in the world.
