Falling Away
When a school bus accident devastates an inner city Los Angeles neighborhood, it will forever change the paths for all as the old rules don’t apply and the color of your skin won’t matter. Friendships become challenged when a boy from the wrong side of the tracks falls for a sweet Latino girl from a rival gang, but when all that you know has been lost – do the rules apply? Beliefs will be questioned, parents challenged and each will face a time when they must choose which way to fall…
“Falling Away offers some smart insights into inner-city life - not only the dysfunction and despair, but something of what it takes to hold on to hope. Writer-director Michael David Trozzo peppers his script with sharp, unexpected references and the cast, which includes Tony Todd as a reformed gang-banger dad, is fantastic throughout.” (Ernest Hardy, LA Weekly)
