As the Earth Turns
As the Earth Turns is an unreleased 1938 silent film by 20-year-old Richard H. Lyford, a Seattle resident who went on to work for Disney and eventually created an Academy Award-winning documentary in 1950. The film is presented with a new score by Pacific Northwest composer Ed Hartman. The film will be showing with scenes from two other Lyford films, Ritual of the Dead and The Scalpel. These earlier horror films feature wonderful make-up and special effects, and also have a new scores Hartman. The presentation is perfect for Halloween!
