The Doors

Discover the stunning new digital restoration of three-time Academy Award® winning director Oliver Stone's psychedelic music biopic THE DOORS: THE FINAL CUT which will take audiences back to the world and sounds of one of the most iconic rock bands in history. THE DOORS, first released in 1991, is a sonic journey that brilliantly captures the furious energy of the '60s and the myth of The Doors' iconic front man Jim Morrison, the man whose music shaped an era.

Starring Val Kilmer in a larger-than-life performance as Jim Morrison, THE DOORS: THE FINAL CUT captures the hedonistic chaos of the late '60s, following the life and times of the band's enigmatic and magnetic front man from cradle to grave. Stone's powerful musical portrait, featuring an amazing soundtrack including over twenty-five songs from The Doors' catalogue, charts Morrison's turbulent relationship with his muse Pamela Courson (Meg Ryan), the formation of the band in Southern California, his experimentation with hallucinogens and the occult, and his tragic death at the age of 27 in Paris.

"It's one hell of a ride and a real, roaring rock movie." — Michael Wilmington, Los Angeles Times, 1991

"THE DOORS is excessive, unsubtle, emotionally brutal and stylistically sadistic, but that's exactly right for the dark side of the sixties Morrison and his band embodied." — Jay Scott, The Globe and Mail, 1991
