The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
From F. Scott Fitzgerald's story of a man (Brad Pitt) who ages in reverse; in his 40s, he falls in love with a woman (Cate Blanchett) in her 20s, and their romance spans the 20th century. The director is David Fincher, who certainly has the digital chops to pull this off (Zodiac, Fight Club); the screenplay is by Eric Roth (Forrest Gump). With Taraji P. Henson, Julia Ormond, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Tilda Swinton.
An Oscar nominee for Best Picture, Directing, Actor, Supporting Actress, Art Direction, Cinematography, Costume Design, Sound Mixing, Visual Effects and Adapted Screenplay, Editing, Makeup, Original Score,
Director David Fincher is a 2008 Directors’ Guild of America nominee for Best Director for BENJAMIN.
“A lush, romantic, hothouse bloom.” (A.O. Scott, New York Times)
