Roxanne Messina Captor wrote, directed and produced the film. Cast is Shelley Long, Harry Shearer (Simpsons), Deborah Theaker (both from the Christopher Guest films and Sat. Night Live), Kate Linder (Young and Restless, she is receiving a star on the Hollywood walk of fame) and James Kyson Lee (Heroes). “ A Couple of White Chicks at the Hairdresser” is about two very different women who develop an unexpected friendship that is sometimes poignant, sometimes hilarious. And always very real. Captor devloped her directorial skills with Francis Ford Coppola. “White Chicks” is targeted at one of today’s most desirable demographics ‘women 35+’ an audience big in numbers, big in buying power, and with a big need for enriching entertainment. This film explores how two very different women can support each other through life‘s trials and tribulations. It was important to me to study the difference between what is on the surface and what is the truth underneath; behind closed doors. Harry's role is the fulcrum for the women and a strong motivator for their exploration.
