Children of All Ages

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN … BOYS AND GIRLS … CHILDREN OF ALL AGES … THE CIRCUS IS COMING TO TOWN … AND SO IS “CHILDREN OF ALL AGES,” A CAPTIVATING DOCUMENTARY ABOUT THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH!

On the very same weekend that the 139th edition of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus hits the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CHILDREN OF ALL AGES will screen in Santa Monica at Laemmle’s Monica 4-Plex. The film is a dazzling Three-Ring documentary that celebrates the most storied entertainment form in American history – the circus.

RING ONE: The OLDEST YOUTH circus! America’s great circus tradition is alive and well in Sarasota, Florida in the form of the world’s longest-running children’s circus. Every year, the kids of Sailor Circus stage two major shows and perform feats so astounding, it’s hard to believe they’re not professionals.

RING TWO: The LARGEST MINIATURE circus! Howard Tibbals has spent more than 50 years building the world’s largest miniature circus. The model is 3,800 square feet and has nearly a million hand-crafted pieces and stands as the definitive three dimensional representation of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus at its zenith.

RING THREE: The LAST ORIGINAL Big Top performers! The Ringling tent came down for good in 1956 when The Greatest Show on Earth moved to indoor arenas. Some of the last remaining great performers who worked under the “Big Top” recall in vivid detail those magical days when Americans eagerly waited all year for the circus to come to town. Part history … part nostalgia … all heart
… CHILDREN OF ALL AGES is as enchanting as it is enlightening. This unique film – produced and directed by Scott Galloway and Brent Pierson, the makers of the award-winning documentary A MAN NAMED PEARL – reveals the magic and meaning of circus life and, perhaps, life itself: No matter what happens, the show must go on!

CHILDREN OF ALL AGES will screen on Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July 12th at 11:00AM at Laemmle’s Monica 4-Plex located in Santa Monica at 1332 2nd Street.
