Blind Man’s Eye
Blind Man's Eye is a short animated film that tells a deceptively simple story of a blind old man sitting by a river, on a favorite bench, under his favorite tree. The sun is shining. Evocative sounds play around him. He drifts into a revery…. We follow and observe the Blind Man on a road trip of the mind – a journey into the old man’s memories and aspirations, depicted in the film as a shifting, dense 3-dimensional collage world that defies our conventional perceptions of space and time. This city is dark, rich and evocative, populated by various creatures of the unconscious - themselves completely incomplete and fragmentary.
The film was in official competition at the Venice Film Festival Corto Cortissimo / Short Film Competition in early September. The film also screened in the Galway Film Festival in July 2007.
