Beyond the Sea
Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey directs and stars in BEYOND THE SEA, a musical biopic of pop icon Bobby Darin. Born with a degenerative heart disease and never expecting to live beyond the age of 15, Darin's career was a race against time to establish himself in the worlds of music and film. He succeeded brilliantly, making dozens of Top 10 hits, including classic tunes like “Dream Lover”, "Splish Splash", “Beyond the Sea” and “Mack The Knife” that are a major part of American music history. He was also nominated for an acting Oscar during his roller-coaster marriage to America's sweetheart, actress Sandra Dee, played convincingly by Kate Bosworth. With outstanding performances, eye-catching production numbers and a soundtrack that is sure to have audiences snapping their fingers to the beat, BEYOND THE SEA is already being touted as one of this year's major Academy contenders.
