Past Run
The Beta Test
A married Hollywood agent receives a mysterious letter for an anonymous sexual encounter and becomes ensnared in a sinister world of lying, infidelity, and digital data.
“Exploring the varieties of volatile awkwardness and desperation, he plays a well-known type (the showbiz ladder-climber who’s nothing but a smile) while making the character unlike any we’ve seen.”
- The Hollywood Reporter
“Cummings has won a cult following on social media, and that’s because, as both actor and filmmaker, he uses a DIY aesthetic to touch something about our time — the way the 21st century tears at the notion of identity.” - Variety
“Plenty of gleefully mean-spirited fun to be had here, preferably in a cinema & shared with as large and as vocal an audience as is legally permitted.”
— Screen Daily
